Great to read and view all the game news and photos for the 2010 tour; well done everybody, inpaticular the coaches and Tour Director Chris Livesey. In my time the games in Anne Arundel were equally as tough, but it was always was a tremendous lacrosse experiance which ultimately raised the personal playing skills of each player which was then seen during the following season, marking them apart from boys who had not be as fortunate to tour. I look forward to reading the friendship game report.

The Kynaston family have a long history with the Metro's.
My father is Alan Kynaston - one of the original members of the Stockport Metros organisation and remains so today.
I played as an U13 in 1978, as an U15 in 1980 and as an U18 in 1983. I also coached the U13 squad in 1992, accompanied by my then fiancee and now wife Helen.
My sister Jill went as a scorer on the 1980 tour.
My brother Mike played in 1984 and 1986.
My parents have over this time hosted countless visitors from the Anne Arundel set up.
I and my family have so very many great memories from our links with the Metro's. All of the tours and the return visits remain some of the most abiding and happy memories of my life.
My thanks to all those Metro's team mates I have played with over the years and to coaches and support staff who made it happen. My thanks should also go my friends, both palyers, coaches and support staff in the US, firstly from the Elks club and thereafter the Anne Arundel organisation who proved to be such wonderful host. Finally, my thanks to the members of the Metro's, not least my father, who have been, and continue to be, instrumental in guiding the development of the organisation and making it such a huge success. In particular though thanks must go to Les Grainger for his vision and commitment to the Metro's cause.
There is so much more I could write, so many people and memories from my involvement in the Metro's but I suspect this war and peace effort is sufficient for now.
Best wishes to everyone on both sides of the pond.
Yours in lacrosse
Mark Kynaston - Kinny
My children, Emily 8 and Joe 6, are now taking a great interest in the game and I would hope that we might see another Kynaston on the roster in due course.
I was on the 82 tour and still playing for Sheffield Steelers.
Well some may not say playing.
Just stumbled across this site. Fantastic times.....was my first visit to the USA. These exchange tours were and still are a great experience for kids AND adults alike. We have become close friends over the years with our exchange family and still visiting one another anually. Happy days! :-)
Fantastic experience.
My thanks goes to all of the coaches that devote their time to running these tours, and to the participating families.
Great times had by all!
find out who im getting on wednesday i'm at school now in spanish :)
Wotcha chaps.
I was on the 1976 tour. Great but blurry memories of Sir Les Granger beaming away and the host of politicians we met and does anyone remember which civil war battle site we visited? I remember Arlington. O and a girl called Natalie. Happy days. We went on a Freddy Laker Skytrain. I stayed with a great guy called Scott Jerome and his ma and pa who treated me royally. When we got back I annoyed my mother intensely because i was now speaking too quickly and demanding pizza and root beer. But not schlitz!
I was on the 1978 tour, and returned to Annapolis for the first time today in 31 years (helps that I'm working in DC this week)! It brought back some great memories, and I was delighted to find this web site and see the whole thing still thriving.
